EKEMP Supports Ghana's Labor-intensive Public Work Registration Programme

Social protection is a policy tool used by developed and developing countries to address income shocks and vulnerability among poor households. These programmes include cash transfers, social pensions, labour market interventions, in-kind transfers, utility subsidies, health fee waivers, social insurance and labour intensive public works. Sponsored by the World Bank and organized by the Ghana government, the Labor-intensive Public Work (LIPW) program in Ghana Social Opportunities Project (GSOP) is a social protection program provided by the Ghanaian government to provide employment and income opportunities.


EKEMP provides biometric terminals for the registration and verification of Ghana labors to ensure fair access to benefits.
